Awards and Recognition

Havant Borough Community

April 2018, Havant Borough Community Lottery raises vital funds for local good causes. Alfie’s Arc received £729 to contribute towards materials for a Sunday Community Craft Club.

Since the Lottery we have been recognised by Havant Borough council as a Hygiene Bank and Food Bank for the community. Anyone having difficulty affording everyday essentials will be referred to us as well as many other amazing charities in the area.

SOUP Award

Alfie's Arc was honoured in April 2024 by winning the 'Actions Hampshire's SOUP award. This acknowledgment stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to serving the community through food parcels, mental health support, and community initiatives. A special thank you to 'Community First' for helping us in the sign up procedure and all at 'Action Hampshire' for the continuing support and opportunities they give us.

Impact of Awards

The awards received by Alfie's Arc have significantly impacted our work within the community, serving as a source of motivation, increasing support, and providing recognition for our efforts. These accolades drive us to continue making a positive impact and expanding our services to reach more individuals in need. There was also a prize fund of £700 which was awarded to Alfie's Arc which has been put towards purchasing our very first van. Thank you to everyone who attended and voted for us. There were other very worthy contenders.

Citizens Advice

In January 2025, Citizens Advice Havant publicly supported the work that we at Alfie's Arc offer to the community. We work closely with Citizens advice by referring customers who need help with financial or document assistance.

The Oaks, Havant Crematorium

In July 2025, The Oaks publicly recognised and announced their support towards Alfie's Arc in their opening Day post. The Oaks Crematorium has been one of our biggest financial supporters through raising money for our cause and referring their customers who may be struggling. They are an amazing team that have been there for us from the beginning of our journey, that we highly recommend them.

BBC Radio Solent

11am, 24th November 2025 Alfie's Arc spoke on BBC Radio Solent along with their host Katie Martin to announce our Christmas initiative as well as expressing our heart felt thanks for the community that have supported us with our cause.

Stagecoach 'Havant'

This Halloween, the Portsmouth team at Stagecoach South brought a touch of spooky magic to the community, transforming one of their buses into a frightfully fantastic Halloween Bus, all in support of our cause, bringing local recognition for Alfie's Arc and raising over £300 towards helping the community.

If you are inspired by our story and the impact we are making in the community, we invite you to get involved. Whether through volunteering, donating, or participating in our events, your support can help us continue to provide essential services to those who need it most.
